M.S. Pharmacology – Tulane University       

Past Research Experience:

B.S. – Synthesizing molecules as a dual kinase inhibitors of CDK9 and VEGFR targeting angiogenesis.

Also,  creating specific inhibitors of CK1 isoforms that causes neurodegenerative diseases, cancer, and inflammation

After M.S. – Creating nanoparticles of an anti-cancer drug with low water solubility and poor bioavailability; observing the pharmacokinetics and biodistribution the drug to be tested in pediatric neuroblastoma.  

Current Research Interest: 

I’m interested in the neurological aspects, so anything dealing with neurodegenerative diseases or neurological effect or affects that can occur with signaling during different stages of life.

Career Goal:

Currently, my goal is to go into academia and be able to expand the knowledge of others, while also being able to create new research ideas myself. But, I’m also interested in going into industry, where new innovative research is constantly being produced.

Best Thing about the Program:

The program has given me a platform to expand my knowledge and learn about the different researches currently being study; to get a little taste of what’s to come.

What makes you unique?

I like puzzles, so any lego building, jigsaw puzzles, sudoku, word search, and word puzzles. Maybe that’s why I like research so much, I like to find and create things.
