Past Research Experience: I worked as a technician at the National High Magnet Field Laboratory during my entire undergraduate career. I also participated in the Google Summer of Code program for the Canadian Centre for Computational Genetics during the summer of 2018.
Current Research Interest: Understanding the mechanisms of disease in repeat expansion disorders, including Friedreich Ataxia and Huntington’s disease using sequencing and bioinformatic analysis.

Career Goal: Industry or academic job in rare disease research.
Best Thing about the Program: Getting to work alongside fellow students and faculty in improving our program through the SGA.
What makes you unique? I volunteer regularly for the American Red Cross in the Information and Planning department. It is a great opportunity to use my skills to help those in need.
