Education: B.S. in Neuroscience from Tulane University

Past Research Experience: As an undergraduate, I worked in the lab of Dr. Eva Morava-Kozicz studying congenital disorders of glycosylation, culminating in an honors thesis examining the therapy response of dolichol phosphate mannosyltranferase-2 (DPM2) deficiency. I also participated in two summer research programs, the Undergraduate Fellowship Program at Tulane National Primate Research Center with Dr. Amitinder Kaur and the Summer Scholars Program at Eastern Virginia Medical School with Dr. Carolyn Moneymaker. After graduating, I worked as a research technician at Tulane National Primate Research Center with Dr. Amitinder Kaur, studying the immunomodulatory role of natural killer T cells in SIV infection.

Current Research Interest: I am currently working with Dr. Scott Edwards and Dr. Patricia Molina in the Physiology department studying the neurobiological consequences of alcohol use and ovariectomy on the hippocampus.
