Past Research Experience: From 2014-2016, I had the privilege of being a part of Dr. Clintoria William's Renal Physiology lab at Emory, where I researched the effect of zinc deficiency on oxidative stress in the kidney.

Current Research Interest: While my undergraduate research was in the basic sciences, I decided to shift my graduate research focus to public health. I currently work for the Louisiana Tobacco Control Initiative (LA-TCI). My dissertation focuses on addressing minority stress to improve smoking cessation outcomes in Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) smokers in the Deep South.

Current Medical Interest: The most rewarding experiences I have had in medical school were 1) being co-president
of Tiger Pride at LSUHSC, and 2) participating in the Reproductive Health Externship
through Medical Students for Choice. These experiences have shaped my research and
career goals towards addressing health disparities for underserved populations.
